CCTV Drain Surveys

Find the fault without lifting a slab. WITA-trained operators survey drains of any size and hand you a report you can act on, not just a video.

CCTV Drain Surveys

Most drainage problems are invisible from the surface. With the latest CCTV camera systems we locate cracks, root ingress, displaced joints, collapses and rogue connections, and pinpoint them with sonde location and dye tracing so any repair goes exactly where it is needed.

We survey everything from a single household run to whole site networks. Every survey is carried out by operators trained and assessed by WITA, the Water Industry Training Association, and comes with a structural report produced in specialist software.

What is included

  • Pre-purchase (homebuyer) drain surveys
  • New-build, extension and build-over surveys for sign-off
  • Van-pack CCTV units and an off-road Trac-Cam unit
  • Sonde location and dye testing to trace routes and connections
  • Combined jetting and survey so the pipe is clean before the camera goes in
  • Robotic cutters to remove roots and intruding connections ahead of relining
  • Structural report with recommendations and a repair quote

Who needs one

Homebuyers and conveyancers, to check the drains before exchange. Builders and developers, to prove new drainage is laid correctly, to satisfy building control and build-over agreements. Utilities, estates and facilities teams, to plan maintenance and settle responsibility.

What you get

Recorded footage, a schematic of the run, a defect-by-defect breakdown with locations, and plain-English recommendations. If remedial work is needed we quote for it, and because we carry out repairs too, one company takes the job from diagnosis to completion.

Clean first

A camera cannot see through silt. Where a line is dirty we combine CCTV with our van-pac jetting units so the pipe is cleaned first. The same pairing drives robotic cutters that remove large roots and intruding connections before relining.

Questions we get asked

How long does a survey take?

A typical domestic survey takes a couple of hours on site. Larger networks are quoted once we know the number of runs and manholes.

Do you provide a written report?

Yes. Every survey comes with a structural report including footage, a schematic, defect locations and recommendations.

Can you survey a blocked drain?

Yes. We jet it first, then survey it, usually on the same visit.

Are your operators qualified?

All of our CCTV operators are trained and assessed by the Water Industry Training Association.
