It has been a busy year, and it is about to get busier. We are currently taking on some big jobs, the kind of contract work that keeps tankers and combination units out on the road week after week, and the honest truth is that we need more good drivers to do it properly.
This is natural growth rather than a sudden change. Customers who started with a single septic tank empty have asked us to look after whole sites. Utilities and contractors who used us for one survey now book us for the season. We would rather grow the team than turn work away or stretch the people we have.
The roles
- HGV Class 1 (C+E) drivers for our articulated tankers and general haulage work.
- HGV Class 2 (C) drivers for rigid vacuum tankers, hook-lift and jetting units.
- Tanker and jet-vac operators, working on septic tank emptying, drain cleaning, CCTV surveys and combination unit jobs.
The work is a mix of local days around the Midlands and longer runs. We are regularly up in Blackpool and down in Bristol and London, so you need to be comfortable with both.
What we are looking for
- A full UK HGV licence (C or C+E) and a current Driver CPC.
- A careful driving record and a practical, get-it-done attitude.
- Tanker, drainage or plant experience is a real advantage, but we train the right people.
- Happy working outdoors in all weathers, and occasionally on call for emergencies.
